EASTERN – South Floyd senior guard Leighann Hall scored her 1,000th career point as the Lady Raiders defeated host Allen Central 63-20 in a 58th District/Floyd County Conference girls’ basketball game at J.E. Campbell Arena on Wednesday night.

Hall has led South Floyd in scoring throughout the season. Entering Wednesday night’s 58th District/Floyd County Conference girls’ basketball game at Allen Central’s J.E. Campbell Arena, Hall was averaging 10.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Lady Raiders. While leading South Floyd in scoring, Hall ranks as the Lady Raiders’ second-leading rebounder.

South Floyd head coach Justin Triplett was quick to compliment Hall following her milestone accomplishment.

“Leighann has been a great scorer for us over the past three years,” Triplett said. “She plays hard and is aggressive on offense. Wednesday night was just an example of the hard work she has put in over the years and I couldn’t be more proud of an athlete. The win over Allen Central was a much needed win because of our struggles the last few games. I thought my girls played hard and hopefully we can grow from this win.”

Hall led South Floyd with a game-high 16 points in the win over 58th District/Floyd County Conference foe Allen Central.
