EASTERN – Allen Central High School senior Chase Soler is headed to the next level. Soler made his college choice official on Monday when he signed with the Kentucky Christian University (KCU) football program.
Soler is the leading tackler in the history of the Allen Central High School football program. He registered a game-high 16 tackles in Allen Central’s 56-54 win in double overtime over longtime border rival Knott County Central on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 to set a new school record of 147 tackles in a season. The productive linebacker shattered the old record, which was 138 tackles.
Through 10 games in his senior campaign, Soler notched 48 solo tackles, 20 more than any other teammate. Soler posted 99 assisted tackles for the Rebels.
Following his senior season, Soler collected multiple honors.
Kentucky Christian University is located in Grayson. The Kentucky Christian University football team, under the direction of head coach Steve Barrows, competes in the Mid-South Conference (MSC). The Knights finished the 2015 season 2-9.
