BELFRY – Former University of Kentucky Wildcat and professional football player David Jones will host his annual youth football camp at Belfry High School’s CAM Stadium on Saturday, June 27. The camp is for student-athletes in grades K-10. Cost of the camp is $50 per child. Any sibling in the same immediate family may attend the camp for $35.
The camp fee includes a T-shirt and lunch for each camper.
After leading Belfry High School to back-to-back state titles, Jones was a First Team All-State selection and was named the Kentucky-Tennessee All-Star Game MVP prior to beginning his playing career at the University of Kentucky.
Making an immediate impact for the Kentucky Wildcats, Jones was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. One of the most versatile players in Southeastern Conference history, Jones thrived on defense, offense and special teams for Kentucky. Jones signed with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens after college. He also played for multiple professional indoor football teams. Along with his playing career, Jones has coached on various levels, including college and high school.
Additional camp staff/guest speakers for the David Jones Spring Football Camp will include other former college and pro players.
Registration for the camp will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 27. The camp will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Campers will have an opportunity to compete for over 100 awards and be entered into drawings for numerous prizes.
