Willard Speedway slated to return to racing


WILLARD – Willard Speedway will host a $2,500-to-win/$2,00-to-start Super Late Model feature race on Friday.

Gates will open at 4 p.m., with a drivers meeting following at 6:30.

Willard Speedway has not hosted feature races in over two weeks. The Carter County track’s racenight scheduled for June 19 was rained out. Willard Speedway didn’t have an event slated for June 26.

Currently, Derek Fisher (Super Late Model), Richie Edwards (Limited Late Model), Davey Warnock (Modified), Sam Hobbs (Sport Modified), Jeremie Bretz (Bomber) and Keith Anderson and (Four-Cylinder) lead points standings at the Carter County track.

Another area track, 201 Speedway, will host the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the $10,000-to-win Bob Miller Memorial on Thursday.

The current top-five in each Willard Speedway race class follows.
