Staff Report

ALLEN – The Kinzer Motorsports team rolled into Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City for a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series shootout on Friday evening. Veteran driver Brandon Kinzer, however, got into the wall during his qualifying effort and could only muster the 25 fastest lap during the time trial session.

After finishing 10th in his loaded heat race and eighth in his B-Main, Kinzer not able to be a part of the 50-lap main event. Series regular Shane Clanton won the main event.

After the Kinzer Motorsports race team’s disappointing ending at Ponderosa Speedway, Saturday’s scheduled stop at 201 Speedway in Sitka was rained out. The local $3,000-to-win dirt track battle was rescheduled for Saturday, May 21.
