Blackcats host ice cream social

The Prestonsburg High School football program held an ice cream social on Wednesday evening.


Players and parents from Prestonsburg High School and its feeder programs turned out for the ice cream social.


In addition to players and parents, fans were treated to ice cream at PHS on Wednesday.


Those in attendance enjoyed a variety of ice creams and toppings courtesy of the Prestonsburg High School football program.


PRESTONSBURG – The Prestonsburg High School football program hosted an ice cream social for its team members and parents as well as Adams Middle School, Allen Elementary players and parents on Wednesday evening.

Several community members and supporters of the Prestonsburg High School football program turned out for the highly-anticipated event.

Longtime head coach John DeRossett, the winningest head coach in the history of the Prestonsburg High School football program, also celebrated his 50th birthday. DeRossett guided Prestonsburg to a state runner-up finish in 2001.

The Blackcats are gearing up for the 2016 season. Prestonsburg competes in Class 2A, District 8.
