SITKA – Longtime Late Model driver Greg Johnson led all 30 laps on his way to winning the Walter “Peg” Combs Memorial in the CT Promotions Iron-Man Mountain Championship Series at 201 Speedway on Saturday night.
Johnson started strong strong and never faltered. He was the polesitter and held off all other Late Model drivers to capture the checkered flag.
Johnson was the top qualifier, turning a lap around the Johnson County track in 14.930 seconds.
Prestonsburg driver Josh Hall earned a top-five finish, placing fifth behind Brandon Fouts (4), Stephen Breeding (3), Dustin Linville (2) and Johnson (1).
