Kinzer finishes ninth in race at Brownstown Speedway

Brandon Kinzer finished ninth in an unsanctioned race at Brownstown Speedway in Indiana on Saturday night.


BROWNSTOWN, Ind. – Floyd County native Brandon Kinzer finished ninth in his latest outing at Brownstown Speedway on Saturday night.

The Grand Champion Fair race wrapped up the 2016 edition of the Jackson County Fair Saturday night with 167 entries on hand in six racing divisions at Brownstown Speedway. The fair race was also the 4th Annual Paul Crockett Memorial for the “E-Z Lift” Super Late Models.

Cody Mahoney(Hanover, Ind.) captured his second Paul Crockett Memorial feature win, repeating his 2015 “Crockett Memorial” victory and becoming the first two-time winner of the event.

Mahoney was trailed at the finish by Chad Stapleton (Edinburgh, Ind.), Tanner English (Benton), Joe Godsey(Edinburgh, Ind.) and Alan Magner(North Vernon, Ind.).

Hudson Oneal (Martinsville, Ind.) powered his way to the “P3 Graphix” Indiana Pro Late Model Series victory. Oneal has five Brownstown Pro Late Model wins and eight overall series feature wins in the 2016 season.

Jacoby Hines(Trafalgar, Ind.) took the win in the UMP Modified class in one of the hardest fought races of the evening.

Kinzer is slated to compete in a $5,000-to-win unsanctioned feature race at 201 Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 6. The Lexington-based driver is scheduled to return to the Indiana track for another unsanctioned feature race on Aug. 20.
