MOREHEAD – Former Morehead State University men’s basketball standout Brent Arrington has signed a contract to play for the Jaszberenyi KSE Fortress in Jaszberenyi, Hungary.

The team plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A, the highest professional league in Hungary, after being founded in 2001 and beginning in the third-tier league. In 2013 and 2014, they made consecutive European appearances in the EuroChallenge.

“It was a great feeling to sign (with Jaszberenyi KSE). It’s exciting, and I’ve had a stress-free summer ever since ,” said Arrington. “I think my game will translate pretty well overseas, and I’m ready to go.”

Arrington, who came to Morehead State from Mississippi Valley State in 2012 with head coach Sean Woods, became Morehead State’s 32nd 1,000-point scorer on Feb. 13 vs. Belmont and finished his career with 1,144 points, which ranks 25th all-time. He ranks fourth on Morehead State’s all-time steals list with 194.

In 2015-16, he helped lead the Eagles to a 23-14 record and a trip to the College Basketball Invitational Finals.
