PRESTONSBURG – The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce held its annual golf outing on at StoneCrest Golf Course on Thursday, Sept. 29. The foursome of Tony Burkett, Tyler Crum, Johnnie LeMaster and Doug Young, comprising the Big Sandy RECC team, captured first place with a score of 53.

The Community Trust Bank team of David Tackett, Bob Denison, Bryan Hatmaker and Ryan Martin finished second with a score of 54.

Third place honors went to the Prestonsburg Tourism team after a scorecard playoff with the Century 21 American Way Realty team. Both teams scored 55.

Team members of the Prestonsburg Tourism team were John Gabbard, Mikeal Fannin, Oliver Blankenship and Will Boyd. Jack Pack,

Glen Beverly, Jerry Gibson and Whitey Meek were members of the Century 21 American Way Realty Team.

“We had a very successful golf outing,” stated Floyd County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kathy King Allen. “The weather didn’t really cooperate, but we still had a great day at StoneCrest. We truly appreciate all the support from our sponsors and the community and we look forward to working with everyone throughout the year.”
