MSU selected ‘one of the most affordable’ by

MOREHEAD – Morehead State University’s School of Business Administration’s online accounting program has been chosen as one of the most affordable by

“We are proud to be recognized by as one of the nation’s most affordable online accounting programs. Not only is our program affordable, but it is also a high quality program as evidenced by the fact that it is fully accredited by AACSB International – the premier accrediting body for collegiate schools of business,” said Dr. Robert Albert, dean of College of Business and Public Affairs.

According to “,” the convenience of online education has made this delivery method increasingly popular. A recent U.S. News and World Report report showed that people might be mistaken about the cost of an online education. Drawing data from several sources, the report found that, on average, online tuition cost $34 more per credit hour than on-campus, in-state tuition. In addition, many schools charge per credit technology fees that can quickly ramp up tuition costs.

Non-resident undergraduate students enrolled exclusively in Internet courses and/or enrolled exclusively at a regional campus center will be assessed tuition and fees at the undergraduate resident rate. Academic courses delivered with at least 50 percent of the instruction online are categorized as Internet courses.

At Morehead State, students are taught to design and implement accounting systems, prepare standard financial statements, analyze accounting data and statements for use in decision making, and interpret tax laws for the preparation of tax returns and tax planning. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level positions in public accounting, industry, or governmental entities, or for graduate study in accounting or other business fields.

MSU offers an “Online Completer Option,” which is designed for students who have completed their general education and business prerequisite courses through KCTCS or any regionally accredited college or university.

All of Morehead State University’s business programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB is the premier accrediting body for business schools worldwide.
