Born February 15, 1933, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Epp and Millie Rice Jarrell. She was a retired factory worker for Chrysler and a member of the Allen Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ershel Scutchfield.
Other survivors include one son, Randy Clay Scutchfield of Munith, Michigan; two daughters: Elizabeth Barnett and Shirley Scutchfield, both of Prestonsburg; one brother, Carl Lee Jarrell of Auxier, and Emma Grace Wallen of Prestonsburg; five grandchildren: Austin Clay, Shelby Lynn, Isabella, Jacob and Maria Ann and one great-grandchild, Brianna.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Dean Scutchfield; three brothers: Joe Jarrell, Samuel Jarrell and James Manford Jarrell and two sisters: Della Curtis and Lillie Baker.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, at 1 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Arnold Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Davidson Memorial Gardens, in Ivel.
Visitation is after 6 p.m., Monday, November 29, at the funeral home.
