Eleanor Stumbo Pack, 80, of McDowell, died Sunday, December 19, 2010, at her residence.

Born February 27, 1930, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Annie Hall Stumbo. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Pack.

Other survivors include one son, John Ellis Pack of Drift; two daughters: Diana Vanderpool of Minnie and Debra Nance of Greensborough, North Carolina; two sisters: Kathleen Willis and Betty Akers, both of McDowell; four grandchildren: Michael Casey Vanderpool, Wendy Renee Vanderpool, Johnathan Matthew Pack and Alexander Logan Nance.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Dracilla Pack; one sister, Madeline Schwartz; three brothers: Charles, Walter and Bill Kit Stumbo.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 21, at 10 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Jimmy Hall, Chuck Hall and Jimmy Dye officiating.

Burial was in the Drift Cemetery, in Drift.

Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
