Rodney Mark Rose, 57, of Langley, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his residence.

Born August 1, 1947, in Martin, he was the son of the late Delbert R. and Carrie Edna Dempsey Rose. He was a disabled coal miner.

He is survived by his wife, Sherlene Ramey Rose.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney Dwayne and Traci Rose of Langley; a daughter, Geana Scott of Garrett; a twin brother, Roger Rose of Garrett; a sister, Delana Rose of Lexington; and a granddaughter, Karli Rose.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 22, at noon, at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Sterlin Bolen, Jerry Manns, and others, officiating.

Burial was in the Elswick Cemetery, at Island Creek, (Pike County), under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.

Visitation was at the funeral home.
