According to Floyd County Sheriff John K Blackburn, search teams found Bowen's body at approximately 1 p.m. Thursday. His body was found in Hueysville behind Woody's Carry Out Liquor store next to the railroad tracks.
Bowen had been missing since Oct. 17 from his home in the Beech Branch area of David. Family members said it was very unusual not to have contact with him on a daily basis and they had suspected something was wrong.
The Floyd County Sheriff's Department and the David Fire Department along with several volunteers searched the area until they eventually found his body. His death is still under investigation by the sheriff's department and his body has been to sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
