Prestonsburg High School prevailed in the 2011 58th District Golf Tournament held at Stumbo Park in Allen. The Blackcats finished out in front of their Floyd County opponents in the district tournament. Junior Austin Sloan and sophomore Stratton Rorrer both shot three over par to earn medalist honors. Sloan won the event in a playoff, earning the tournament titelist nod. The PHS golf program is under the direction of head coach Ephraim O’Quinn.
