Bengals LB Micah Johnson to host camp in P’burg on June 16

CINCINNATI - Linebacker Micah Johnson continues to impress Cincinnati Bengals coaches. So much, Johnson was recently moved to the SAM linebacker position. The former First Team All-SEC honoree at the University of Kentucky will be in Prestonsburg later this month for a youth football camp. Young football players from throughout the area will have an opportunity to learn fundamentals from the NFL player during the upcoming event.

The Highest Level Football Camp featuring Micah Johnson, a former Kentucky Mr. Football and High School All-American, will be held at StoneCrest Park in Prestonsburg on Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The youth football camp is for players ages 6-18.Additional staff for the camp will include former and current coaches and players.

As a high school senior, Johnson was rated as the nation’s top linebacker. He was named Kentucky Mr. Football and played in the U.S. Army Bowl.

Cost of the camp is $65 and includes lunch, a T-shirt and certificate.

Campers will be grouped according to ages and have an opportunity to compete for awards in various competitions.

Football fundamentals will be covered throughout the camp. Campers will also receive one-on-one instruction from Johnson, who has excelled at multiple positions during his football career.
