Grudge races to highlight Armdrop Drags

HAGER HILL - The Pop’s Chevrolet Arm Drop Drags, presented by Prestonsburg Motorsports and the cities of Paintsville and Prestonsburg, will return on Saturday. Horsepower will make its way back to the home of the Arm Drop Drags, Combs Airport, which is located on Rt. 321 between the cities of Paintsville and Prestonsburg. The latest edition of the Arm Drop Drags will be comprised of test and tune and grudge races only as part of Driver Appreciation day.

The driver’s fee for the Arm Drop Drags is $25. All drivers participating in the event must have a D.O.T.-approved helmet.

Admission is $5 for adults. Children ages 12 and under will be admitted free. Passes to enter the pit area will be an additional $5. No one under the age of 12 will be allowed in the pit area unless they are accompanied by a registered driver.

Any coal miner who has lost his or her job will be allowed to race their car free.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. Racing will start at noon.

No alcoholic beverages of any kind will be permitted during the event.
