PRESTONSBURG — Two men were arrested last week after police found drugs in a home while investigating a rape complaint.

Donaldo Macedonio, 20, of Prestonsburg, was arrested at 4 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, after police say that while responding to a rape complaint they “discovered that the violator had forced intercourse with a female victim in his bathtub at his residence.”

According to the police report, the alleged violator had several scratches on his body, caused by the victim trying to fight off her attacker.

While investigating Macedonio, Trooper Adam Hensley discovered a small plastic bag containing a white powder “believed” to be cocaine located in the bedroom of 41-year-old Pablo Bautista. The powder was field tested and came back positive for cocaine.

Macedonio was charged with one count of first-degree rape. Bautista was charged with one count of first-degree possession of cocaine.

Bond for Bautista was on hold until legal proof of legal status in the country could be provided. If that that proof is present, his bond will be set at $5,000 cash. Macedonio’s bond was set at $10,000 cash.

Both have been lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.

Charges filed are not admissions of guilt. Both parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
