Memorial services for James Harold “Jim” Necessary, age 76, of Dublin, Ga., were held Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Dr. Joel Dent and Rev. Steve Patton will officiate.

Mr. Necessary was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Kentucky Colonel. He moved to Dublin about 16 years ago from Floyd County. He was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer.

Mr. Necessary was preceded in death by his parents, William P. Necessary and Virginia Kozee Necessary, and a brother, Donald Ray Necessary. He passed away September 17, 2012.

He is survived by his wife Mary Love Dominy Necessary, of Dublin; daughter, Vikki (Willie) McGuire, of Prestonsburg; son, Kenneth (Connie) Necessary, of Louisa,; two sisters, Carol Jean York, of Merritt Island, Fla., and Barbara Sue Lucas, of Dublin; brother, Danny Robin Necessary, of Hitchins; step-daughter, Kathy (Scott) Hoffmann, of Tigacay, S.C.; step-son, Cregg (Cynthia) Dominy, of Dublin; and seven grandchildren.
