First, I would like to make some comments about some things I have read the last few months in The Times.

The passing of Frank Derossett was indeed a loss to all of Floyd County. I had the privilege of talking to him just a few weeks before his passing. I met him and his wife at Billy Ray’s and was able to enjoy some minutes with him. All the many years I knew him, he was always a gentleman and treated this lowly miner with respect.

I view our county attorney, Keith Bartley, and county clerk, Chris Waugh, with the same respect, because of the way they treat people and they way they and their staff conduct their very important offices.

Now, some comments about the paper itself. It’s been increasingly leaning to “the left” in articles and captions. You run one continually up in the righthand corner of page four that states, “A liberal is right most of the time, but he is right too soon.” That is pure hogwash. A liberal is never right, soon or late.

I did not take pleasure in reading about Donald Kaul’s sickness, but I’m sure glad his crazy rants are not in The Times anymore. It amazes me that The Floyd County Times ran his articles so long. Norman Allen, who was a friend of mine, even though he was a Democrat, would be turning over in his grave at some of Kaul’s idiocies that were published in “his” (Allen’s) paper. Mr. Davis, why don’t you as editor see about publishing Rick Hall’s columns that he writes for The Troublesome Creek Times? It would, at least, add some balance to your paper.

Let me say this before I go any further. The Democratic Party is not, in this day, the party that most of our ancestors stood for. The modern-day Democratic Party has spiraled downward into an abyss of liberalism, socialism and even worse, to the point that I don’t see how anyone with half a mind can support what it has become.

What has it become? In my lifetime, I’ve seen this party become a supporter of abortion, which is the murder of innocents. Isn’t it something, how this party will fight tooth and nail to stop justice from being rendered to mass murderers, rapists and child molesters, but wholeheartedly will stand for abortion? Read the Bible, Ezekiel 13:19-22, and you will see what I am talking about.

Yes, friends, the Bible covers everything, and we had better start taking heed before it is too late, if it’s not already too late to save our souls and nation. The Bible states in Psalms 94:20 that we “frame mischief by a law.” We can pass every law that we can think of to uphold perversion, such as a marriage between two men or two women, but it is still perversion and the law itself is a perversion. Read the Bible, Romans 1:24-27.

I have come to believe that lawyers themselves have sold their souls to the Devil, because of greed. Now we know that this is not true for all lawyers. I could name some good, honest lawyers right here in Floyd County, but I have come to understand how Christ could say, “Woe unto ye lawyers.” Luke 11:46-52.

By the way, why should “we, the people” have to pay for a lawyer to defend lawbreakers? I know they have a right to a defense, but it is not constitutional for us taxpayers to foot the bill for malcontents of any kind.

Speaking of lawyers, I saw awhile back in The Times how Ned Pillersdorf opposed the reinstatement of Sheridan Martin into the fold. Let me say this before I go any further: I think Ned is a good lawyer and a good man, though I am sure we don’t agree on politics. I admire and commend him for the work he has done for the David School and the Floyd County Animal Shelter. You have our thanks for all these things. But if Mr. Martin has paid his dues to society and repented “according to his pastor,” and has been rehabilitated, why shouldn’t he be reinstated? I know from what I’ve read in the paper in the past that you, Ned, stand for rehabilitation and returning people to society.

I’ve often wondered why Janet Stumbo never took the Pillersdorf name when she married Ned. Then it dawned on me that she retained the name for political reasons. I think that you, Janet, would stand “tall” in the eyes of the people of Eastern Kentucky, if you took on your husband’s name. I understand the power of the Stumbo name in politics and certainly they are a good family. My grandparents and even my dad talked often of their high regard for the Stumbos, going back to Dr. Walk Stumbo, who tried to save the lives of two of dad’s siblings. Things like that are never forgotten. But I still think Janet should take her husband’s name. After all, i would think the Pillersdorf name is held in high regard by the people who have had the opportunity to be associated with the Pillersdorf family. I am not, I repeat, I am not degrading Janet Stumbo in any way, nor her people. Being a strong traditionalist and an even strong conservative, I really believe a woman should bear her husband’s name.

Let me express to you now what I have seen happening to our nation the last 50 years under the leadership of the Democratic/liberal/socialist agenda. First, I saw through the neglect of JFK and his philandering brother, Robert, while they were passing Marilyn Monroe back and forth. He almost let the USSR get into position to destroy America. I cried with everyone else the day JFK was killed. I can tell you the exact spot where I was sitting in Garrett, Ind., having a meal before going on to work at the Auburn Foundry, in Auburn, Ind. There was not much work accomplished that night.

Secondly, Johnson came in and escalated the Vietnam tragedy, and what did it accomplish? Nothing but the loss of too many of our boys. It’s just like old, beady-eyed Bush sending our troops to Iraq, all for nothing. Why doesn’t America keep its nose out of other people’s business? Then Johnson started the “War on Poverty.” As good as it sounded, it has not eradicated poverty. Watching the news, more people than ever are on food stamps, SSI and other government programs, and poverty is still rampant. Ask yourself why. Read Matthew 26:11. Are you liberals happy now?

Since the “war” started, we, America, have spent billions and billions of dollars in this war. We have built thousands of government housing developments, and many of them have been turned into “ghettos” and breeding grounds for prostitution, drugs, murder and every other type of crime that can be imagined. The more we give, the more people quit work and go on the “draw.” Yes, it is our solemn duty to care for those that cannot care for themselves, but not lowlifes that are too lazy or sorry to work. Read II Thessalonians 3:10. Are you liberals happy now?

Speaking of breeding, isn’t it a shame that according to news reports, about 70 percent of black babies are born out of wedlock? Who is paying for their rearing? It certainly isn’t their sires. Another shame is that about 40-some percent of white babies are born the same way. I tell you that the lowlife men should be castrated, and if a woman has two children out of wedlock, she should be required to have a complete hysterectomy. I become so angry when I see some skanky, greasy lowlife on some show, such as “Jerry Springer,” dragging around with his pants halfway down his rump and bragging about fathering numerous children and won’t work to feed them. I despise people like that. Why should the taxpayers have to pay for their whoredoms? Let’s put their sorry rumps out beside the highways, picking up garbage, instead of hiring the Mexicans to do it. I am not putting Mexicans down. They work hard and I like every one that I have met, and we often go to these Mexican restaurants in Prestonsburg. However, we should put the local lowlifes doing these jobs. I worked on the “muck” farms as a teenager with Mexican boys and girls. I have much respect for them, so don’t call me a bigot. Are you bird-brained, liberal, socialist Marxists happy now?

Stop the presses! I just saw a TV ad where Janet Stumbo “Pillersdorf” is upset because her opponent has raised the issue in his campaign. I swear, I did not know Mr. Scott had raised this issue, as I have been several days drafting this letter.

And then, America elected a third, what’s his name, you know, the one that gave “our” Panama Canal away? Oh, yes, Carter, wasn’t it? What a skunk. I wonder how much that lily-livered stunt has cost the good old USA? Then he allowed our citizens to be held captive in Iran all that time. He was just like the little weasel we have now, always trying to appease the school ground bullies. The only thing they understand is a swift kick between the legs and a club on their skulls. The bullies were very anxious to release them as soon as Reagan took office. If they hadn’t released them, after “my dear and personal friend, President Ronald Reagan,” got through with them, we would not be having trouble with the terrorists now. You liberals, socialists or whatever you call yourselves, have you forgotten the high interest rates, high gas prices “for that time” and also a bad economy under Carter? Are you happy now?

Then forth, along came Bill, with his womanizing ways and his bald-faced lies, but the left, left, left-leaners still worship old pig eye, who made our White House into a XXX house. He then rode on the programs put into place by Reagan and Bush and had some pretty good economic years and then gave it all away under all of his trade deals, especially the most favored nation status with Communist China! How many of our young men have the communists killed in Korea and Vietnam? If you think “old skanky” didn’t receive millions and millions for that consideration, you are living in a cloud. Now the USA is making them rich, rich, rich. Have we lost our minds? God help us, because we have become a nation of fools.

In his book, “Ghost Train to the Eastern Star,” author Paul Theroux told about his journey through India. This journey took place about 2006. When he saw all the enterprises, industry, etc., he remembered Ross Perot’s words that if all the trade deals were put into place, that the great sucking sound you hear will be jobs leaving America. Are you anti-America liberals happy now?

And last but not least, we now have the two “weasels,” Obama and Obiden, occupying the White House. Obama is the most unqualified person to ever be elected to the presidency. He has no business experience, no military experience, and not enough senatorial experience to be an effective legislator, let alone president. Why don’t the little socialists release his university papers, etc.? I’ll tell you why: because it would reveal his true liberal-socialist self.

Why didn’t he, instead of giving all that bailout money to the billionaires of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, just pay off the mortgages of the people that needed help? By doing so, he could have “saved” Freddie and Fannie and helped the people stay in their homes. Does he really love “the people” so much? If “Beirut” gets elected again, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae’s names will probably be changed to Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac.

Why does this weasel grab a roll of toilet tissue to wipe the Muslim extremists’ behinds every time they pass gas, especially when their behinds are pointed at America? Quit trying to placate these out-of-control nuts and just make sure they pay a more severe penalty for their attacks on us. That is all they have ever and will ever understand. Study the history of Islam and you will see that I am right.

I don’t want to get started on his War on Appalachia and everyone else he can’t scare. I cannot believe that anyone could ever vote for this fool the first time, let alone doing so again. I’ll not waste pen and paper talking about Obiden. He’s too stupid to even recognize. Are you liberals and socialists happy now?

Bear with me, editor. I’m almost finished. The liberal-socialist agenda has turned our colleges into institutions of immorality in every way imaginable, and even our high schools are more interested in teaching our children that it’s “good” and “all right” for dad to live with uncle so-and-so, than they are in teaching the ABCs, morals and even good manners. It’s your liberal-socialist influence that has corrupted our nation to the extent that we have lost control of most of the students in America. Do you know why? Because they, the students, like our present-day criminals, have nothing to fear. Even a “slap on the wrist” is not allowed anymore. Are you happy now?

Why is the drug problem so bad now? Our dad told us boys in the very early 1960s that if “we, the people” didn’t put “fear” into the drug dealers, that the time would come that the good people would be living behind barred windows and doors and the whole spectrum of criminals would be walking our streets. We are almost there, aren’t we? Are you happy now?

Christianity even now is under attack, and even more across the world, since you all elected BHO. According to historian Solomon Grazel, in his book, “A History of the Jews,” in about the year 470 AD, a radical movement, “Mazoaism,” persecuted the Christians, Jews and conservatives. It sounds like modern-day America, doesn’t it?

Floyd County, I have determined that our county has to be strengthened and straightened before we meet financial disaster. Therefore, I have decided that, if my health is good and I can obtain financial backing, I am going to run for Floyd County Judge-Executive at the next election. My promise to Floyd County is this: I will not hire my wife as my assistant at any salary, and Floyd Countians’ money will not be spent on luxury vehicles. I have much more to say, but I’m sure that I have overreached The Times’ largess. I fully expect the full support of The Floyd County Times in this endeavor. Hey, this is the way I see it.
