EASTERN — Two Floyd County schools will be closed Friday, as students are afforded the opportunity to support their school by attending the state volleyball tournament.
Floyd County School Superintendent Henry Webb made the announcement Tuesday that Allen Central High School and Allen Central Middle School will not be in session Friday, Oct. 26.
The Allen Central Lady Rebels will be playing in the first round of the state volleyball tournament at 2:30 p.m., Friday, at Louisville’s Valley High School, in the KHSAA State Tournament.
The Allen Central Lady Rebels finished with a regular season record of 32-5 and will face off again Greenwood in the first round of the state tournament.
