BELFRY — Police are investigating a robbery at a Pike County convenience store.

According to Kentucky State Police, Post 9 in Pikeville received a call early Wednesday morning reporting a robbery at the Belfry Double Kwik.

Witnesses told police that a man dressed in an orange ski mask, yellow safety glasses and a black Nike jacket entered the store shortly after midnight and demanded money from employees. He then fled the store on foot, heading south on U.S. 119.

Police say he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
