201 Speedway set to host Halloween 50

SITKA - Historic 201 Speedway will host the Halloween 50 on Saturday, Nov. 10. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27.


Gates will open at noon with the driver’s meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. Late models will be chasing a $3,000-to-win feature victory. All other divisions - Open Wheel Modified, Bomber, 4-Cylinder Modified, and 4-Cylinder Stock - will be racing as part of a regular show.


The event lineup will be as follows: Late Model, 4-Cylinder Stock, 4-Cylinder Modified, Open Wheel Modified and Bomber.


The payout for the Halloween 50 will be as follows (20 cars will start in the feature race): 1 - $3,000 ; 2 - $1,500; 3 - $1,000; 4 - $800; 5 - $600; 6 - $500 ; 7 - $400; 8 - $350; 9 - $300; 10 - $275; 11 - $250; 12 - $240; 13 - $230; 14 - $225; 15 - $220; 16 - $210; 17 - $200; 18 - $200; 19 - $200; 20 - $200.


The total payout for the Halloween 50 will be $10,900.


Admission for the event will remain at $15 for the grandstands and $30 for the pits with kids 10 and under being admitted free.
