ELIZABETHTOWN - Prestonsburg High School Lady Blackcat Katie Porter, a sophomore, participated in the 2012 Kentucky Girls’ Soccer All-State Showcase, playing in the East vs. West Honorable Mention game on Saturday in Elizabethtown. Porter was one of four 15th Region players selected to the Kentucky All-State teams. She led Prestonsburg in scoring throughout the 2012 season.
Pikeville’s Micaela Bush and Lawrence County’s Mollie Workman also made the East Honorable Mention team and played in the game.
Shelby Hay of Lawrence County was named to the East Second Team. The East vs West Honorable Mention game was extremely close. The West edged the East 3-2.
