Time for Kentucky-Louisville women’s game changed

LEXINGTON – The University of Kentucky women’s basketball game vs. No. 8/9 Louisville on Sunday, Dec. 2 at the KFC Yum! Center will now tip at 6 p.m. instead of the previously announced time of 2 p.m.

The game will be televised by ESPNU and will air on the UK IMG Sports Radio Network with Neil Price.

The Wildcats are 1-1. Kentucky opened its 39th season with a win last week, defeating Delaware State. In a top-10 matchup Tuesday night, Baylor beat Kentucky 85-51.

Head coach Matthew Mitchell guides the University of Kentucky women’s basketball program. During Mitchell’s tenure, Kentucky has advanced to five consecutive postseason tournaments, including three straight NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time in school history. UK has finished in the top three in the Southeastern Conference race three consecutive seasons, including winning the 2012 SEC regular season championship, the school’s first in 30 years. The Wildcats have also charted over 25 wins in three consecutive seasons, including a school-record 28 victories in 2009-10 and 2011-12.
