Juanita Hunter Sweeney Terry, 75, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at her residence.

She was born May 11, 1937, in Pikeville, the daughter of the late Wallen Appleby and the late Hazel Layne.

She was a secretary at the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a member of the Church of God M.P.G. of T.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jean.

She is survived by three sons, James Thomas (Victoria) Hunter, of Palm Bay, Fla., Kenneth Eugene Hunter, of Ocala, Fla., and James Robert (Lucy) Sweeney, of Lexington; three daughters, Tina Terry, of Pikeville, Carol Leslie Hunter, of Pikeville, and Cathy Lynn (Mohammed) Shhadeh, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, Gary (Carolyn) Taylor, of Wheelwright, Kenneth (Charlotte) Armour, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Michael (Sharonda) Armour, of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Lisa (Hooshang) Monopour, of Lexington; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Sunday, Dec. 9, at J.W. Call Funeral Home with Gene Layne and Michael Armour officiating. Burial followed the service at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of J.W. Call Funeral Home.
