State police deliver marijuana, arrest recipient

BLAINE — A Lawrence County man is in jail after Kentucky State Police confiscated guns, weapons, and drug paraphernalia from his residence.

Kentucky State Police, in Ashland, say they received information that numerous packages containing several pounds of marijuana had been shipped from California to the residence of Steven A. Davis, on Wheeler Branch Road in Blaine.

On Friday, Dec. 7, state troopers made a controlled delivery of the intercepted marijuana to Davis’ residence. Search warrants were executed at the residence and several pounds of marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia items were seized.

Davis, 39, of Blaine, was arrested, lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, and charged with trafficking in marijuana .

Kentucky State Police troopers say that the investigation is ongoing.
