Carol C. Dooley, 74, of Lackey, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born Oct. 13, 1938, to the late Worley and Zella Mae Slaven Dooley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lackey Freewill Baptist Church.

Carol C. Dooley, 74, of Lackey, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 13, 1938, to the late Worley and Zella Mae Slaven Dooley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lackey Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Turpin, Ruth Sexton and Margie Sue Mosley.

She is survived by a son, Dale Wayne Slone, of Lackey; a daughter, Jamie (David) Combs, of Lackey; two brothers, Jack (Carol) Smith, of Port Richie, Fla., and Glen (Jackie) Dooley, of Petersburg, Mich.; two sisters, Linda Dooley, of Wayland, and Tammy (Ben) Crum, of Inez; two grandchildren, Donnie B. (Delenda) Combs and Michael (Jennifer) Combs; and four great grandchildren, Hannah LaSha Combs, Austin Kent Combs, Matthew Dawson Combs and Ethan Brian Combs.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 17, at the Lackey Freewill Baptist Church, with Johnny Collins, Larry Patton, Dean Hall and Buddy Jones officiating. Burial followed the service at Lackey Cemetery.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
