Williams registers triple-double

MARTIN - Piarist School sophomore point guard Michael Williams registered a triple-double in the Knights’ 87-50 win over Riverside Christian last week. As part of his triple-double performance on Dec. 10, Williams scored 24 points, pulled down 15 rebounds and dished out 17 assists. The productive Williams recorded game-highs in points and assists.

Through six games, Williams is averaging 11 points and nine rebounds. The sophomore standout is shooting a team-high 37.5 percent from the floor.

Williams will celebrate his 16th birthday on Friday, Dec. 21.

The Piarist School boys’ basketball team is off until Dec. 27. The Knights will play the host team two days after Christmas in the Beth Haven Holiday Classic.
