No. 4 UPIKE signs JUCO transfers Duncan, Magee

PIKEVILLE - The University of Pikeville men’s basketball program will have a couple of new additions after Christmas. UPIKE has signed junior college transfers Lakeem Duncan and Greg Magee for the second semester.

Duncan is a 6-foot-6 forward from Lamar State College - Port Arthur. As a sophomore, Duncan averaged 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Magee is a 6-foot-6 forward from Columbia State Community College. As a sophomore, Magee averaged 8.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

Pikeville is 13-1 through its first 14 games and ranked fourth in the latest NAIA Division I poll. Following a break for the holidays, Pikeville will host Ohio Christian on Jan. 4.

Veteran head coach Kelly Wells guides the UPIKE men’s basketball team. UPIKE captured the 2011 NAIA Division I title.
