Eagles drop games to Asbury, Brescia

PIPPA PASSES - The Alice Lloyd College men’s basketball team dropped a pair of games to Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) foes last week, falling to Asbury and Brescia. More on each game follows.

Alice Lloyd 82, Asbury 63: Asbury pulled away to beat Alice Lloyd on Thursday, defeating the Eagles 82-63 at the Seabury Center in Wilmore.

After thriving throughout the first half, Asbury carried a comfortable 50-27 lead into halftime.

Alice Lloyd could never get closer than 13 points to Asbury in the second half.

Former University of Kentucky recruit Dakota Euton paced Asbury (13-9 overall, 4-3 KIAC) with 16 points.

Tyler Rogers led the Eagles with 15 points and eight rebounds. Terry Muse added 11 points and seven rebounds for Alice Lloyd (9-13 overall, 2-7 KIAC) in the loss.

Brescia 75, Alice Lloyd 65: Host Brescia managed to fend off Alice Lloyd’s challenge on Saturday, defeating the Eagles 75-65.

Brescia clung to a 33-32 lead at halftime.

Myron Christian led Brescia (7-15 overall, 2-7 KIAC) with a game-high 20 points.

Two players paced Alice Lloyd (9-14 overall, 2-8 KIAC) in the scoring column. Isaac Wilson and Tyler Rogers led the Eagles with 13 points apiece.
