Russell Neeley, age 56 of Hueysville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 2, 1956, in Martin, a son of the late Chester and Dottie Ratliff Neeley. He was a former coal miner and a member of the Salt Lick Community Church.

He is survived by five sisters, Polly Beatrice Adams, of Willard, Ohio, Helen Buentello, of Ben Bolt, Texas, Barbara Compton, of Hueysville, Sherry Shepherd, of Paintsville, and Vicky Singleton, of Fisty; a brother, Cisco Neeley, of Hueysville; and two special dogs, Smokey and Trixie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Salt Lick Community Church, at Hueysville, with Dolvin Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Neeley Cemetery, at Hueysville.
