Bill “Red Bill” Crace, 81, of Prestonsburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Mountain Manor, in Paintsville.

He was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Johnson County, to the late Charlie and Josie Pearl Blair Crace. She was the husband of the late Mary Crace. He worked as a contract laborer.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Vella “Judy” Garrett and Elizabeth Crace; brothers, John Crace, Ed Crace, Ben Crace, Paul Crace and William “Little Bill” Crace; and sister, Roxie Meade Parker.

He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Prater, of Prestonsburg, and Billie Jo Johnson, of Prestonsburg; a brother: Jay Crace, of Blue River; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Steve Williams officiating. Burial followed the service at Little Paint Cemetery.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
