John Wayne Rackey, 59, of Hueysville, died Thursday, March 7, 2013.
He was born June 25, 1953, to Johnie and the late Ruth Little Rackey. He was the husband of Easter Salisbury Rackey. He was a disabled worker from Columbia Gas and a member of Martin Brach Freewill Baptist Church.
Along with his mother, her was preceded in death by a brother, Verlon Rackey, and two grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Billy (Kim) Rackey and Wallace Rackey; a daughter, Jennifer (Ronnie) Spurlock; four sisters, Patricia Conn, Tilly Gibson, Betty Mullins and Tammy Hall; brother, Glendale Rackey; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 10, at Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church, at Hi Hat. Burial followed the service in the Newman Cemetery, at Hi Hat.
Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
