ALLEN - The Kinzer Motorsports team rolled into the nearby 201 Speedway in Sitka on Saturday night for a $1,500-to-win regular weekly show. A driver from Floyd County fared very well in the Late Model feature race. When the checkered flag dropped on the Late Model feature, veteran driver Brandon Kinzer had claimed a second-place finish, following only race winner Michael Wright.

Kinzer timed in sixth quickest during the qualifying session, and after a short rain shower, started the feature event from the outside of the third row.

The Floyd County native piloted a very fast racecar during the A-Main and moved all the way up to second with the hooked-up track conditions. As the checkered flag dropped, Kinzer followed Wright closely to the stripe to earn a strong runner-up performance.

Kinzer, who made the Dirt Track World Championship starting field at 17 years old, has the upcoming weekend (June 7-8) off. He is scheduled to race in the Southern Regional Racing Series’ $3,000-to-win feature race at 201 Speedway on Saturday, June 15.
