DORTON - Questions remain after a Pike County woman was found dead in the road by Kentucky State Police troopers last week.

According to KSP officials, they received at least two calls last Wednesday of a female lying in the road way on Lick Fork near Beefhide in the Dorton community. Officials say that the first caller advised that the female had been struck by a vehicle, while the second caller advised police that he was on his way to work, and had struck an object in the road way.

The caller told police that upon exiting the vehicle he found a female lying in the road way. Tpr. Jake Stinnett responded to the scene and found Jessica L. Hall, 30, of Virgie lying in the road. Hall was later pronounced deceased by the Pike County Deputy Coroner Greg Hall. An autopsy has been scheduled, and the death remains under investigation.

Anyone with information related to the death of Hall, should contact Kentucky State Police Post 9, at (606) 433-7711.
