Bank robber remains at large

ALLEN — Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation are still searching for the suspect in the robbery of Citizens National Bank in Allen on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, a male suspect that appeared to be in his early 20s entered the bank around 10:30 a.m. brandishing a knife and demanding money. The entire incident reportedly lasted around one minute and the suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers with the Kentucky State Police arrived on scene shortly after the incident but were not able to locate the suspect.

A security officer with Citizens National Bank said that the bank has not received any further information about the suspect and that the FBI is currently investigating the incident.

A representative from the FBI returned a phone call to the Floyd County Times on Thursday regarding the robbery, but additional information was not issued as of press time.
