Naomi Ruth Jones Meade, age 86 of Allen, wife of the late Eugene Meade, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Riverview Healthcare Center, in Prestonsburg.

She was born Sept. 23, 1925, at Weeksbury, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Anna E. Nicely Jones. She was a homemaker and member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Marvin “Skip” Meade, of Allen; one daughter, Cassandra Stout, of Medina, Ohio; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Stout and Jerry Stout Jr.; and three great grandchildren, Conner Stout, Meredith Stout and Madison Burns.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Jones Jr.; a sister, Beatrice Lynard; and a grandchild, Nathanial Stephen Meade.

Funeral services for Naomi Ruth Jones Meade were held Saturday, June 23, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Don Fraley officiating. Burial followed in the Newman Cemetery, at Hi Hat.
