Willis Tackett, 81, of Prestonsburg, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born on July 9, 1931, in Logan, W.Va., to the late Sollie and Callie Robinson Tackett. He was a disabled laborer.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Homer Tackett, Orville Tackett, Merlin Tackett, William Tackett, Marvin Tackett, Clarence Tackett, Howard Tackett, Copley Tackett, Pearl Tackett, Myrtle Goble, Beartha Harrington and Berley Tackett.

He is survived by a son, Brian Tackett, of Tram; two daughters, Callie Fought, of Harold, and Vossie Sabo, of Chapmanville, W.Va.; a sister, Flora Riley, of Harold; a grandchild, Amber Nicole Sobo; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 29, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Clyde McKinney officiating. Burial followed the service in the Ike Roberts Cemetery, at Grethel.
