Jack Conn, age 86, of Antioch, Tenn., made his transition from this earthly life to eternal life on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Jack was raised at Printer and was a 1943 graduate of Martin High School. His parents were the late Melvin and Caldonia Stumbo Conn.

He was the youngest of five brothers who all served the military simultaneously during World War II. Jack was with the 29th Marine Corps, 3rd Battalion and saw extensive Combat in the Pacific War Zone.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine.

Surviving are their three children, Betty Ralston, Larry Conn and Dr. Samuel Conn. Local relatives include Charles Ed “Chub” Stumbo and Jane Pack, of Prestonsburg; Audrey Gunnells, Marguerite Conn and Gwen Williams, of Printer; and Willis R. Hall, of Minnie.
