Gene Snyder, 78, of Martin, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Van Nuys, Calif., to the late Clarence D. and Leona Malone Mays. He was the husband of Irene Samons Snyder and was a retired roofer.
He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Snyder, of Elk Grove, Calif., and Debbie Peek, of Lincoln, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 12, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Barry Clark officiating. Burial followed the service at Newt Samons Cemetery, in Martin.
