Christopher Shepherd, 42, of David, husband of Dorothy Scott Shepherd, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 26, 1970, in Prestonsburg, to the late James Ray Shepherd and Hazel Marie Shepherd Collins. He was the step-son of the late Sam Collins.

Christopher was preceded in death by a son, Milton Russell Vanderpool, and two brothers, Randy Lee Shepherd and Jackie Shepherd.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Tyler Shepherd and Samuel Ray Shepherd; daughter, Sabrina Rennee Shepherd; sisters, Ramona Marie Shepherd and Joy Lynn Howard; and brother, Paul Douglas Shepherd.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Brushy Fork United Baptist Chuch, at Gunlock, with Ollie Watts officiating. Burial followed the service at Brushy Bill Cemetery, at Gunlock.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
